For ALL Women and Girls, as explained by UN Women, “marks a moment to amplify our collective determination. No matter how deeply rooted the sexism or how discouraging the politics, we refuse to step back or abandon our mandate. Instead, we climb together – for the rights and empowerment of all women and girls."

Understanding equality and equity

Equality means treating everyone the same, giving them the same resources and opportunities.

Equity means recognising that people have different needs and providing support tailored to help everyone achieve the same outcome. It's important to note, that while we aim for equity in the workplace, the law protecting against discrimination is focused on equality and is called the 'Equality Act 2010'.

Resources to support equality, diversity and inclusivity in the workplace

There are lots of different characteristics that set individuals apart from each other, such as someone’s ethnicity or religion, their gender and sexuality, age or if they have a disability. All these characteristics could lead to varying levels of discrimination and privilege.

We have a range of resources to support employers to build inclusive and equitable workplace cultures and develop more diverse and compassionate leaders.
