Overview

This interactive three-hour session, led by expert facilitators, is designed for the adult social care workforce. It explores the everyday behaviours and practices that shape workplace culture, looking beyond policies and procedures to what’s really happening beneath the surface.

Through group discussions, breakout activities and guided reflection, you’ll gain practical insights into your own impact on workplace culture. You’ll leave with greater confidence and a clear, actionable step to take personal responsibility for building a more positive, compassionate and inclusive environment.

This session covers:

  • the onion model: exploring the relationship between stated intentions and actual behaviours

  • the three pillars of compassionate, collaborative and inclusive workplace cultures

  • how to distinguish between what’s within your control, what you can influence, and what sits outside both.

Learning outcomes

  • recognise the difference between what you say you do and what you actually do in the workplace
  • promote compassionate, collaborative and inclusive practices in your role
  • apply practical tools to focus on what you can control and influence to build a positive culture
  • develop a personal action plan to support meaningful change.

What to expect

  • a three‑hour live Zoom seminar, including a short break
